Time to bust out the dad jokes.
Amid their busy lives on tour or set or other endeavors, for many stars, their favorite role is simply dad. And in honor of Father's Day June 16, celebs such as first-time father Maluma as well as seasoned parents Tom Brady, Jessica Alba and Chrissy Teigen shared tributes to the dads in their lives on social media.
"The day that everything changed..." Maluma wrote in Spanish on his Instagram page, alongside a photo of him nuzzling his then-newborn daughter Paris, whom he shares with his girlfriend Susana Gomez, in the hospital back in March. "Congratulations to all the Fathers on their day.. Especially mine, I LOVE YOU old man!"
Tom shared pics of himself with his dad, Tom Brady Jr., and his children—son, Jack, 16, whom he shares with ex Bridget Moynahan, and his and ex-wife Gisele Bündchen's kids Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11.
"Happy Fathers Day to my HERO, and the best role model I could have ever asked for," the retired NFL star wrote on Instagram to his father, adding, "And THANK YOU, to these kids for giving me the gift of being a father, a joy that I could have never imagined until you came into my life. I hope that I can give you all that my dad gave me… unconditional love and support."
Jessica posted tributes to her dad, father-in-law and husband Cash Warren, sharing a pic of him with their three kids Honor, 16, Haven, 12, and Hayes, 6.
"Honor, Haven and Hayesie are so lucky to have such a kind, patient, fun, cool Daddy who spends time with our babies and makes each and every one of them feel like they are your # 1," she wrote on Instagram to her spouse. "Watching you grow into the loving father you are to our kiddos has been one of the best gifts of my life."
As many stars have spoken about over the past year, being a father is truly something man of them cherish above all else. For tennis pro Rafael Nadal—who welcomed his first son with wife Maria Francisca Perello in October 2022—every moment feels like something special.
"Everything surprises you because everything is new," he told E! News in March. "Especially the first kid you have, everything is 100 percent new for my wife and for me. So you learn everyday, and every day is unexpected."
For John Legend, who shares children Luna, 8, Miles, 6, Esti, 17 months and Wren, 11 months with Chrissy, being a guiding force in his kids' lives never gets old.
"I think we also try to make sure that we're there for our kids in the moments that really matter," he told E! News in April, "and really help shape their personalities and their views in life. We really talk to them about how to be good people."
On Father's Day, Chrissy posted pics of John with all four of their kids in the hospital after they were born. "Happy fourther's day, Johnny!" she wrote on Instagram. "I'd put more but I'm really proud of that as a caption and also you're right next to me."
